Good morning all. I just wanted to wish you a good day.
I am going to go through my photos this morning to continue with the little paintings. I may call that series…wood and water. Then again night and day comes to mind, because I noticed the pieces are that. I seem to have as much trouble titling pieces or series as I do painting them. My mind goes in so many directions…too many! Just like naming this blog. I have already changed the title several times, and I am thinking of changing it again.:~O Moon chaser, from the porch, from the sticks, just my thoughts….are just a few titles rattling around in my head…see what I mean. I am like that about so many things. I told someone the other day that I am good at reinventing myself…it used to be out of necessity (survival). I think now it is habit. Maybe it is my inheritance for my 100 year old Grandmother says, if you are not changing you are dying. I have to agree with her…besides she should know.
Speaking of changing, I changed my “trash bug” post a little. I wanted to make it clearer that I know “hurts” are real…and they tend to remain with us. Dealing with them was my reason for writing about them. I did find some pictures of “trash bugs”…by goggling (how I love that feature).
Not sure why I feel the need to write such things to you, but I do. My main focus on here is art…but art and life are all tangled up aren’t they? Anyway, I have enjoyed hearing from some of you through emails and an occasional comment So as long as someone connects with my art or my words…I will try to keep this up.
…and enough words for now. As promised, here is the invitation for the show. Again, not the best image…the card has a glossy finish so there’s a glare (even with the flash off).
From the left the pieces are:
Melissa (water colorist), Carolyn (photo colorist), and me (acrylic/canvas). Even though they are printed let me know what you think.

Hopefully I will have the beginning of some more little paintings later today.
Until later then….
