Well, I just now got on here. Due to the storms in our area our system was down all day. We had a northeaster…the river was high and rough..and beautiful. Best of all, you could really feel fall in the air. We walked down to check the mail, and my little Ringo kept stopping…smelling that sweet air.
I have not painted since last week..and I am longing to do so, but I need to get some things done that I have been neglecting. Soon I will be picking up my waiting brushes again.
I did manage to take thess photographs in-between the showers. Self portrait…in honor of fall and the rain. I have always loved puddles…as a child I thought they were mirrors to the other world….or that if you stepped into them you could fall into the sky. Anyway here are the photos:

Well, it is late so I am leaving you now…I hope to go to that other world in my dreams…if so, I will take notes.
a good night to you then….

Hi Gyspsy-Heart, I am so lucky that I wrote my blog in english, so you can understand my thoughts. And I understand you, the world really gets a cyberhood.
After seeing your “falling into the sky” I understand your shock and can take a share in this feeling. Our pictures are… twins. One with hot sun and dust, one with … water? What did you use as underground for your shadow? Water? or did you use a artificial colour from a tool?
Well, I understand you live in the USA. Bet somewhere near Nova Scottia … or at least in the north. Your colours are so fresh.. so european… that does not look like Florida.
if you prefer direkt email contakt, take c-h-obst@t-online.de
I´d be glad to hear of you.
Have a good start in the week!
Henry
henry~ I knew you would understand my shock! :)
Twins and opposite warm and cool…eh?
It was a puddle…and no special color from a tool. I don’t know how to use the tools..though I would like to learn.
I am in Florida. :)
I hope you have a good start in the week too!
[...] found this quote and photo a good fit with my thoughts today. This photo has been here before on “falling into the sky” a post I wrote way back when I was pretty much alone here on gypsy-heart. So here it is again, [...]
