Looking into Nature
February 6, 2008 by gypsy-heart

Cat Moon do (Pastel/mixed media on canvas)
The deeper we look into nature, the more we recognize that it is full of life, and the more profoundly we know that all life is a secret and that we are united with all life that is in nature.
Man can no longer live his life for himself alone. We realize that all life is valuable and that we are united to all this life. From this knowledge comes our spiritual relationship with the universe.
~Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965)
This piece was created in honor of a bob cat that lives on the island..he travels a lot by moonlight. I posted it along with the other pieces in the series before, but for some reason I wanted to share just him with you today. Hmmm….maybe he is planning to show himself again this weekend!
I may try to post more later. I do have some news about some pieces in a show in Soho New York to tell you about.
For now though, I will let Albert Schweitzer and this piece speak for what is in my heart today…they can do so much better.
Until later then…
Love and Light to all,
~gypsy-he♥rt

He is beautiful! It is as if his soul is written in his eyes and all wrapped up in the vines for all to see if they were to only look. Lovely!
Gorgeous! And I love what’s in your heart today.
This is a beautiful piece. I really love the quote, too. Thanks.
such depth and vitality! love it
I am SO in awe of your talent. Everything I see resonates so strongly.
Oh, Gypsy-Heart…..
Thank you for sharing this piece with us today.
When it popped up on the screen I went, “aah!”
The thing I love about your work, is that there’s SO MUCH to look at. You create with such TEXTURE and DEPTH DIMENSION. I always feel like a want to walk into the piece.
I really love the colors that you’ve chosen. And the contrast between the all the earth tones and then that burst of color in the center. I also love the moon (again, texture).
And it’s funny about you and I having so much in common, because when I lived in Boca, my high school mascot was the BOB CAT! The Boca Bob Cats.. see, there we go again!
Thank you for also sharing the wonderful words of Albert. When I am within nature…I always feel HEALED.
Can’t wait to hear more about the SoHo show!! When I lived in NYC, SoHo was one of my favorite spots. Keep us posted, Gypsy-Heart.
Always sharing good energy with you!
I don’t suppose a mouse would approve of his young offspring viewing this. It would give them nightmares; they would never go looking for cheese again.
I like it, you should bring it out again around Halloween, it has that feel to it for me at least.
I love the picture! It resonates with me, too, on so many levels.
hi gypsy,
(is it OK without the heart, or are both required? – I’m a bit of a name-abbreviator!)
This cat is awesome, as a friend of mine is always saying these days. I get the feeling that your writing is becoming more assured, also – am I imagining – or have ybonesy and company had you doing writing practice!?
Thank you all for stopping by and taking the time to leave a note. :)
((GOOD ENERGY TO ALL!))
**Fox**
I loved how you described his eyes, and your “if only they were to look”… so true about so much…eh?
**Moonbeam**
Glad you liked him! If you only knew what was in the other part of my heart. :O
**ybonesy**
Makes me happy you like the piece..and the words!!
**C**
I like “depth”.. depth beyond the canvas would be my wish. I hope that comes through somehow.
I so appreciate all of you coming by and sharing your thoughts!
((GOOD ENERGY TO ALL!))

We are all creative souls…you know how I love your photography!
**Ron**
Our connections just keep growing don’t they! I want you to walk into the piece…for me is what it is all about!!
Nature is my healing place too…it is my temple. :)
**wrjones**
I know I have issues with the cycle of life..the whole survival thing. Why can’t we all just eat plants..but then plants have an energy too. :O So you think it is a halloween piece..I’ll have to keep that in mind. I guess my whole series is then..for they are all like this. Halloween happens to be my favorite holiday!
Gypsy~
I look forward to hearing about your Soho show! I am deeply enthralled by the magic of nature, It is no small task to capture the mood and the movement, and you have done a beautiful job of It! It is even harder to take a photograph of it I am sure! I love the earth tones! Thanks for sharing your gift and your love!
walk easy
(((Thank you all so much for visiting and leaving a note.)))
(((GOOD ENERGY TO ALL)))
**April**
You have made my heart happy!
**94stranger**
You can abbreviate as much as you like..I understand.
The bob cat thinks he is quite handsome so he would approve of your descripiton!
I do visit red ravine and I leave a comment once in a while…but for the most part I am just an observer. As I just said over there..sort of like quietly watching a dress rehearsal in a theater. I am still much more comfortable “speaking” through my paint brushes, pastels, charcoals, etc.
I think what you may see in my words now are just more of me…unplugged and simply being me. :)
**Sorrow**
Your words made my heart smile. I think we have some of the same loves!
I will try to post about that show soon…maybe my next one. The show is not until March..but you know how that is I need to get the pieces ready now. In fact, I hope to get to my framer tomorrow.
I’m walking easy…and I wish the same for you!
This ought to sell soon if it hasn’t already. Do you have a way for bloggers to buy your work if they want to?
Another remarkable painting! I love the general mood as well as the details- the golden moon and the flowers are simply gorgeous
Love the painting and love the quote! Very true and wise. Thanks for sharing.

This one will stay in my collection as that whole series will. :)
I am planning to have prints made. I have corresponded with people through email, and my web site has info on it. I am getting ready to do some more things with on line though…I may eventually include the blog in it. I just did not want people to feel that is what my blog is about..because it isn’t.
Thank you for your encouragement!!
**Indigo**
Thank you for your kind words my writer friend…I am glad you like the mood..these are all the things that I love and feel connected too.
**tobeme**
I thank you for stopping by and your words of inspiration!
Good energy to YOU, Gypsy Heart!
Your orange moon makes me float in the air! :-)
**Anni**
I like that very much Anni.
You made my heart soar!
Thank you. :)
Were you inspired by the quote for this bee-autiful piece gypsy-heart? They work so well together. Nice job!!!
**ibtowers**
Thank you lb. This piece is part of a series I did a while back. The quote came after, but I thought it expressed perfectly what I felt then and now! :)
