Hello lovelies, I know some of you are still in the depths of freezing cold so I wanted to send you this. The painting was a little butterfly study (oil on canvas). It was quick and fun to do…which is how a butterfly painting should be..don’t you think? I thought the little poem and quote went perfectly with the painting, and with what was in my heart today.

So I’ll leave you with some, butterfly secrets~~butterfly wisdom, if you will. Hmmm…I love the sound of that …butterfly wisdom. Maybe I’ll start periodically posting about that. :)

I love the detail on the wings…you can actually feel the delicate texture. And the fuzzy dandelions…I just want to blow on them!!!!

Quick and fun? That’s just leaves me speechless! I couldn’t imagine my hands doing this with years to work on it!

Thanks for sharing it — leaves me with a longing for Easter which just doesn’t seem to be coming fast enough this year!

Yes, winter has been fickle this year. It is cold here tonight, but will be around 70 here tomorrow. Well, I say it’s cold, it is in the 50′s. I know some would laugh at me for that. :)

((( Gypsy Heart ))) Butterflies are so near and dear to my heart…in fact, my one and only tattoo – inked 2 years ago for my 49 birthday – is a lovely 6″ one that I call “The Butterfly Maiden”….
