“Bring me then the plant that points to those
bright Lucidities swirling up from the earth,
and life itself exhaling that central breath!
Bring me the sunflower
crazed with the love of light!”
~Eugenio Montale

Sending you sunflowers another love of mine. I also wanted to share this beautiful quote with you.
I thank all of you for your comments and emails. Your concern touched my soul. This “blogger concern” is new territory for me. It is interesting how you can be in your cave (no matter the reason) unbeknownst to most of your family or local friends. Your blogging friends will not be fooled though. hee, hee.
I have said this before, but I ask your indulgence while I say it again. I think the blog world has an energy that we have not experienced before. Hmmm…I wonder if this is a sample of the energy beyond this world as we know it. The energy that flows after our bodies or vessels are shed…no longer skin, hair, faces, eyes, etc. We can peer into someones eyes now and get a pretty good read on their essence. To me the “blog world” already removes those things, and it is as if we peer into each others hearts. I have to say, I like the energies I feel here. Anyway, not sure how I got off on this subject…just some of my “wandering thoughts” which I tend to do. I do thank all of you for caring.
All is good with me. I’ve just been dwelling in my cave…and yes women go into them too! :) I am still working on new directions….trying to put things in place. I think you understand how it is….I do not like stepping out of my comfort zone. Death to the old ways…… and at times that feels like thorns. :O
~~~~~I need to remember the song of the butterfly and just fly~~~~~
I’ll leave you with a few symbolic meanings of sunflowers:
**spiritual attainment**flexibilty**opportunity**
I like the symbolic meanings of sunflowers….it feels good within my heart so I think I will keep it there tucked in my spiritual bouquet.
Well, enough from me for now. Good energy to all of you!
……..crazed with the love of light,
This has got to be my favorite work of yours yet! I love sunflowers too…when we had our farm, we grew an acre and a half of sunflowers and an acre of lavender…it was glorious! People came out just to take pictures, we even had a couple of wedding photo’s done there. You really captured the light in this work, but that is of course something you excel at. When you are ready to come out of your cave all the way, I wonder what you will create? I’m looking forward to finding out! :)
oops – what did I miss?! I guess I feel such good energy here at your blog … When I saw all your comments in the sidebar of The Talking Circle – eek!? THEN I got concerned. and now you give us SUNFLOWERS so I know you are OK. You are right, this blogworld has an energy and I appreciate yours. Keep seeking the sunshine – with flexibility! Thank you… “C”
Ah, those Lucidites! Uh, wait. Who are Lucidites, or what? I even looked it up and still have no clue. :-) Did the quoter mean Luddites, do ya think? Maybe I missed something.
The sunflowers are set perfectly against the background. And the lovely shade of blue on the ‘ground’. And the vase and it’s color fits so well with the space and mood. I like this very much, Gypsy.
I like that spot of blue light.
Could you channel some of your energy into cleaning my windows?
*badKitty ~ Ahh..a fellow sunflower lover! Wow your place sounded like heaven!! I need to email you about planting such things. I would like to plant them on the Drayton Island. I was going to do research on it.
Thank you for your very sweet and inspiring words!
I will be over to see you soon! :)
*C ~ All is good C…sometimes I forget our images and words send messages out..even when we are unaware! :O
Light Seekers we are, and I love your energy too!! :)
*Barbara ~ Hee, hee…I went back to the quote and that is how they spelled it. I think it was a mistake so I corrected it. :O Maybe it will make more sense now. I am sure you already know this, but I’ll post it for all of us. :)
Here is the singular meaning I found:
lucidity Function: noun
Text: 1 clearness of expression — see simplicity 2 2 the quality or state of having or giving off light — see brilliance
So glad you liked it! I will be by to see your latest gorgeous photographs soon!
*wrjones ~ Thank you my painting friend. Oh yes, those little sweet spots of light draw us in..much like life…eh!
As for your windows…I will do my best to send YOU some energy to clean your windows! I think the ancient beings in our world had the right idea…just move on to a new place. :) Of course, today we have way too much stuff!!! :O
I’ll be over to see you later today!
Morning Dearest Gypsy-Heart~
What a HAPPY flower!
I had a wonderful boss once, who’s favorite flower was the Sunflower….she just loved them.
Sunflowers always look like they’re SMILING, don’t they???
Yes, my friend…you’re so right! The blogworld is a very powerful communication tool that goes WAY beyond skin, hair, faces and eyes. To me, like you shared, it’s all about “energy.”
Please know that always I honor and respect your “cave dwelling time.” I too, need this time to reflect, be quiet…and hear the voice. I know that you are strongly connected to your heart…and will ALWAYS recieve what you need…when you need it, my friend! And I believe you know that, too. You simply TRUST.
You always share nothing, but pure, honest and wonderful energy here!!!
And I feel very blessed to recieve that, Gypsy-Heart!
Thank you for starting my day…with a beautiful piece of art…and wonderful words!
Ah, Gypsy Heart, I always love your paintings and your quotes! And yest, there is an energy here and online that’s very special. We see each other, I think, without the superficial filters that often seem to separate in the “real” world. This is a time of year, too, I think, that we do stop to take time to look for new directions. Ironically, that’s what I blogged about today.
This is so gorgeous–I love the soft light that captures the essence of these flowers so well.
Take care,
I.
The picture talks and my blood boils- strange emotions turn my heart apart. Your picture looks beautiful and your words are so right, but there is something very sad too . That’s not the mourning but the purity that just call to touch her tenderly and to embrace – to hold firmly – to protect from the loneliness. Your art doesn’t weep, but blesses the viewers. Wow, why does the wholeheartedness so hardly break through the wall of the silence into the world!
In any case, you have passed the test and I am proud of welcoming you.
Your Sun Petals are your self portrait I’m rejoicing over and I’m applauding heartily
Dear G-H,
More than any other flower, we’ve thrown sunflowers into the River where Owen’s body was found. Somehow, they just seem to fit. No matter the color, or the specific type of sunflower – there are so many kinds and colors – just that they “feel” right on those days.
I love this painting – the blues at the base, so gentle and calming, with the yellow-gold colors above. Yep, this was a good search into the night…thanks “a bunch”.
Linda
It’s always so hard for me to comment here. Your paintings and words evoke emotions which kind of transcend words for me. Just beautiful. I’m so glad you’re doing well.
Montale, excellent choice my dear!
I hope you’re doing fine, my friend, thanks for your nice comments on my blog.
A visit to your blog is always so inspiring and visually BLISSED.
I love how you made mention of the virtual world being a sample…yes, I feel the same way. The essence is laid bare, isn’t it?
