Hello darlings! I hope all of you had a good week. I wasn’t sure what I was going to post about tonight, but it was provided for me. :)
Thursday I drove to St Augustine to pick up a piece from a show that ended. I stopped at my friend Michelle’s house for a cup of tea and a chat. I wrote a post about her in the past. if you didn’t read it and care to do so here is the link: Cutting edge. She is a wonderful artist and her cottage is magical. If I remember right it is a long post, so if you are in a hurry skip it.
Do you remember the recent post about the painting I entered in a tactile show. Here is the link to it: The Journey..the story of a painting. In case you forgot it was the story about the tactile show and the students from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind.
Anyway, in conversation I told Michelle about “the energy” of that painting and what is happening with the image of it from here and the art site. When I returned home I emailed her the link to the post about The Journey. Apparently, she forwarded it to one of the ladies involved with the show…the one I talked about in the post that told me about the children and the painting and we both ended up getting teary eyed. Her name is Patty and she emailed Michelle the photos from the show, and Michelle forwarded them to me. Now I want to share them with all of you because from all of your comments on the post..you were just as touched as I!
First…I am putting a thumbnail of the painting (in case you forgot), but most importantly two pictures that Patty sent of the blind students feeling / “seeing” the painting at the show. Be prepared to get teary eyed because I sure did! If you wish to enlarge just click on the images.

One can only wonder what the children were imagining! I will say if you have not read the post about the journey you probably will not truly understand how beautiful these pictures were to me. Needless to say, I cried again. I am still looking forward to meeting the family that “adopted” the painting. That may happen soon… I’ll keep you updated. :)
That is all from me tonight. I am on Drayton Island and as I told you it is a challenge to do anything on the computer here…slow, slow, slow! I can’t wait to tell you about the fireflies and other things we saw here on this full moon night!! A night of moon shadow magic!
I will be around to see everyone soon…I haven’t even had time to respond to all of your comments, but I promise I will! I keep all of you tucked in a special place in my heart!!
Ta Ta for now dear hearts..may we all forward a loving kindness, even if only a needed smile!
Love and light to all of you,
~gypsy-he♥rt
Post Note: I’ve had several ask if the work here is mine. ‘Tis all mine, good and bad…which I understand is totally subjective . :) I guess I need to note that on my home page.

How wonderful that she sent you these photos! I don’t blame you for crying. The whole experience sounds so beautiful, just like the painting.
The artwork, the photos and the ‘story’ behind all of this Journeying is so touching. There IS certainly an energy behind this piece, GypsyHeart. Somehow when I looked at it today, it touched me in a very surprising way as it totally captured the essence of my own journey these days….from the solitary figure on the path, to the Full Moon lighting the way. It speaks to me about my own solitary journey towards the Light of the Goddess…where, prior to this, my journey was always towards the Light of the Son.
I feel alone. But not necessarily lonely, as the Trees on either side of my path are filled with loving support and encouragement.
Thank you so much for all of this. I find myself blindly ‘touching’ your work, just like these children, looking for “meaning.”
Namaste
The Journey is an amazing painting. It is endless fodder for the imagination… I can see why the children are enchanted -
Tis quite an amazing piece. For me, I saw the moon as a guiding light through the journey during darkness. When we are lost at night, we instinctively look to the moon for guidance. If I were blind, I would truely be in awe of being able to feel-see that guiding light. The children’s blindness didn’t stop them from seeing the light! What a blessing! The story behind it brought tears to me also; especially when I imagined how the the children were able to feel-see the painting – and how they often see the light more than us “seeing” folks. You put complete love energy in the creation of the The Journey, and that energy is still flowing . . . Love never dies. If you should never paint again, although I certainly hope you will, the love you put in this piece will endure forever! For that you are truly blessed dear Gypsy Heart. Thanks for sharing your blessings with us. Have a great time on the island this weekend. Namaste
Peace, Light and Love,
CordieB.
The things i have touched with my eyes open,
the tracks of my tears are full of Joy
full of sorrow, and nothing alters their course, for blessings have weight and substance.
What a gift you have given..
it is an endless possibility…
Evening Dearest Gypsy-Heart~
YES…I do remember reading your post on The Journey and being touched by it then. But by looking at these photos and watching the children actually TOUCHING your work…suddenly made me FEEL something even more.
I wonder…if what they’re really SEEING when they TOUCH…is something that someone who CAN see…doesn’t necessarily always notice.
And that is…the VOICE of the piece…as it speaks to their soul.
Thank you for sharing this post, dear lady!
Just beautiful!
Oh, how cool is this! I have teared up.
Hands that seek to see
Fingers that speak of the yearning to see
Oh! to simply see, just see!!
a glimpse of this Eternity
called Infinity
Wish your hands see
more than my eyes see
Fingers touch
More than I ever can
Little angels
who gently stirred me to see
the Gifts I have been endowed with
The gift of sight
To see light
Wonderful post!! that triggered a million beautiful thoughts
