I hope all is good in your worlds. I know I have been quiet, as of late.
Where have I been?
Other than my painting trip to France, this entire summer has been one of returning to nature at every opportunity. Often with camera in hand..not brushes. I wanted to go outside and let my lens capture what I was seeing and feeling. No more thinking and rethinking..just seeing and feeling. No more talking and talking about the things going on around and within….
meditations in nature.
That began as a child..one of my earliest memories is of hiding from everyone within the little woodland nearby. It is much the same today..I retreat to my beloved nature. She wraps me up in her gentle quietness…..
allowing me to renew and listen to my heart messages.
and that is where I have been. Listening to the messages from around me and from within
and now…
I am understanding everything better! ♥
Alas, summer is almost gone, and once again, the signs of change are around us. I am not only ready to embrace the change..I am eager for it! I am ready for fall (my most favorite season), and I am ready for my studio again.
The studio has been quiet…still brushes and empty canvases patiently waiting for me. It is time..for I have paintings swirling around in my head and in my heart.
So I will be “seeing” you again, and if all goes well I’ll have some new paintings to show you. :)

As you know, I too find great healing in the woods, flowers, and streams.
I don’t think that I see things better like Mr. Einstein did – but his genius far transcends any feeble thoughts I have while ‘regenerating’. He sees a woman dragging a finger in a pond from a rowboat and says, “Ah ha! that is light from the farthest stars propagates through the space-time continuum.” …and I just see the chance for a little fish to get a free nibble.

I hope you feel both regenerated and inspired when you pick up the brushes and swirl the oils – I wait patiently and eagerly to see what artist gems you give birth to -
What a terrific way to spend your time; a shift to a bit of a different creativity.
As you know, we are alike in so many ways; and I find such great solace, peace, reflection, and the way back to self when one with nature. This Saturday, I am taking a bus trip to upstate NY, to wine country on Seneca Lake, to visit several vineyards with friends, sample some vino, and take in the beauty of the area….. I plan on taking along my camera with loads of film!

Woods are good for hiding, mhm. For times when I can’t get away from it all, I have created some vast mental woodlands for myself.
Nature has a way of speaking that is unique onto itself; I find nothing else in this world can quite compare. I am glad you are able to capture her blessings (in art and otherwise).
All you talk about France makes me wish I have the funds to go. At least you can bring some of France to me :) Thanks for that. One of my fantasies is to just roam from place to place for some time.
Nature is the best place to be. It inspires the soul.
There is something deeply nourishing about connecting with yourself in the natural world.

aaaah yes…Fall has arrived here in the north and I’m in total HEAVEN. For it too, is my favorite time of the year. So filled with visual and olfactory magic!
